LiveMath 3.0 Plug-In HTML Tag Updater to ActiveX Format

Do you have a large LiveMath Plug-In website you would like to automatically update to the new LiveMath ActiveX Plug-In tags format?

Well, we did, too.

So our crack-shot programmer Ivo wrote this cool little PERL script to go through an entire directory (and subdirectory) and update all of your tags.

BE VERY VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS PERL SCRIPT

If you don't know how to use PERL, or you are a NOVICE, get your SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR to help you.

FileTyper For Macintosh

Do you have some LiveMath (or MathView or Theorist) or MathEQ (or Expressionist) files that have "lost their icons" after being sent through email attachments or ftp downloads?

There is any easy solution.

Download the FileTyper below (run it through Stuffit Expander, of course).

Then drag your disenfranchised LiveMath .the or .thp notebooks or MathEQ/Expressionist .exp files over the appropriate Typer (drag-and-drop), and it will change their file type. (Sometimes you have to do it more than once, but rarely).

MathView Website Converter

Do you have a bunch of older MathView Plug-In files you would like to automatically update to the new LiveMath Plug-In format?

Well, we did, too.

So our crack-shot programmer Ivo wrote this cool little PERL script to go through an entire directory (and subdirectory) and change:

  • Notebook Font and Fontsize of THP files
The Notebook Font needs to be increased by 2-4 points over the old MathView settings for LiveMath Plug-In (it's a long story...).
  • <EMBED> tags
A few changes to the EMBED tags are required.
