Depending on your level of comfort with HTML, we have a few sets of instructions on updating
your LiveMath HTML tags.
For The Novice - Using LiveMath Maker | Using An HTML (or text) Editor
For The Novice - Using LiveMath Maker
We will call the applet you are working with "update.thp", and the HTML
page that embeds that applet "update.html".
- Make sure you have downloaded and installed LiveMath Maker 3.5b11 (or higher).
If you haven't, go now to The LiveMath Download Site
to download and install it now.
- Open "update.thp" using LiveMath Maker 3.5b11 (or higher).
-
|
Go to File > Save As Plug-In with HTML
|
|
- Give the file a name - you can change it from "update.thp" if you wish.
- Enter the text into the fields shown for the Web Page, if you wish.
A new HTML page will be created. If you saved your notebook as "update.thp",
then your web page will be called "update.html".
This new web page "update.html" has the proper, updated code. Once uploaded
to your site, your webpage will now have LiveMath content in it viewable
in any browser using the LiveMath Plug-In.
You should edit this webpage however you wish, using a text editor like
WordPad or BBEdit, or an HTML Editor like Netscape Composer or Microsoft Word.
Using an HTML (or text) Editor
- Open the HTML file using your favorite editor.
-
Find the EMBED tag that places the LiveMath Plug-In file in the document.
Note : If you are using an HTML Editor like Adobe GoLive, you will need
to edit in HTML Source Mode. Not all editors are the same. Consult the Help Documents
for your favorite editor for more details on editing the HTML source.
It will look like the highlighted portion below.
