Troubleshooting LiveMath ActiveX Installation
Did you read the
READ ME file for the LiveMath ActiveX Plug-In?
OK, then, let's troubleshoot.
- Did you see this Dialogue Box when you tried to access the site?
If you saw the dialogue box above, then your security settings
for Internet Explorer are set to the Highest level possible (a level that
allows almost nothing to run inside webpages).
In order to allow signed (safety ensured) ActiveX
controls (like LiveMath ActiveX Plug-In) to run, you should
either set your Security Level to "Medium" or, if you are working
with a Custom Level of security, you should set the option for
"Download signed ActiveX controls" to "Enable" or "Prompt".
Changing these settings is easy.
Click
here for instructions on changing your ActiveX Security Settings.
- When you saw this dialogue box below, did you click "NO"?
If when this box appeared you clicked "NO", you rejected
the Plug-In Installation.
In order to install the LiveMath ActiveX Plug-In, you must
click "YES" when this dialogue box appears. This just means
that you trust the content you're getting from is "safe" (ie, it
isn't virus-ridden).
If you do not trust the LiveMath ActiveX Plug-In to be safe,
then you will not be able to install it.
To troubleshoot, simply return to the installation page.
If you do not see this Dialogue Box appear again, hit the "Refresh" button.
The Dialogue Box should then appear, and you should click YES to continue.
- When you saw the License Agreement, did you click "Cancel"?
If you cancelled the installation, all you need to do is reload
the page by clicking the "Refresh" button.
You will again be presented with the License Agreement.
This time, click the Continue button.
- Still Having Trouble?
